Turns out Sega was ''a lot'' more ambitious with Sonic than we realized.

How did he even get this?
Eww, Kotaku
Who's "he?" Me or the reporter? Because he likely was conducting lots of interviews and did lots of internal research before posting this.
Was it not obvious?
That movie just sounds like it would have sucked. We should be glad that it was never made, otherwise Sonic may have been killed off before the Dreamcast Era could begin.
@WaterKirby very true! But I have my worries about the sonic movie coming this yearish, due to a lot of games failing
Interesting read. Would like to read the full screenplay. I'm a sucker for what-if stuff like that.
How?
How what?
That script was a little bit interesting when Sonic came into the real world. Everything else was trash. I for one am glad it never came to be!
And I'm not looking forward to the Sonic movie in 2019. Especially being directed by Deadpool director. I'm really upset that Sega wanted a movie with live action and cgi. Whose awful idea was that and why? We should of gotten an animated film.
My only interest in the 2019 is screenshots. I refuse to watch it until someone I know watches it before me.
