1868 is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is one of the Spirits of the Years Past and is responsible for leading his corresponding year on its intended course.
Appearance
1868 has blue skin,white eyes and lacks a nose. He is taller and fatter than 1977 and wears a top hat and walks around with a cane. Like all other Spirits of the Years Past, he dons a banner with his name on it.
History
On the New Year's Eve of the year of 1868, the spirit of 1868 entered the Time Stream to guide his year down its intended course. Eventually, he would return to his own world.[1]
When it was time for 1999 to enter the Time Stream, 1868 and the other Spirits of the Years Past came under attack by the Time Waster, who appeared when 1930 attempted to take 1999's place. During the chaos, 1868 explained the reason for this calamity to Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary upon their arrival. After the Time Waster was taken care of by Amy, 1868 saw her and Tekno off.[1]
Personality
1868 speaks with an odd and long-winded speech pattern, to the point that Amy Rose could not understand him.[1]
