The 8-Shot RPG[1] is an object that appears in Shadow the Hedgehog. It is a lock-on type weapon usable by both enemies and the player.

Description

The 8-Shot RPG is silver in color with black trim on both ends of it. It is rectangular in shape with a hilt at the bottom, and has some red numbers and letters on its frame.

Overview

GUPE8P-2836

Shadow wielding a 8-Shot RPG.

In gameplay, the 8-Shot RPG can only be found in certain Stages. They can be wielded by Gun Beetles, Giga Troopers, and Big Foot enemies who will use them against the player. When fired, the 8-Shot RPG's shots can home in on the player over a certain range.

8-Shot RPGs can be dropped by defeated enemies that wield them or released from containers. Touching one will make Shadow pick it up automatically. As a lock-on type of weapon, the 8-Shot RPG can unleash a homing attack on enemies. The player must hold Square/SNNBGAMECUBEDISCO/XboxX (whether on the ground or in mid-air) and use the control stick to target and lock onto enemies, then release to fire. By comparison, this weapon's shots have a long range and high damage output. A 8-Shot RPG has a total of twenty-four shots, double than the 4-Shot RPG, and once those run out, it becomes useless. However, it can be reloaded with another twenty-four shots by picking up another 8-Shot RPG.

Trivia

  • Locking onto many targets with the 8-Shot RRPG will not launch multiple missiles simultaneously. Instead, a short firing delay is occurred for each shot based on how many targets locked.
