Adrenaline Rush (ハイパーラッシュ Haipā Rasshu?, lit. "Hyper Rush") is a POW move used by Miles "Tails" Prower in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. When performing this move, Tails deploys a temporal field that can grant any of the player's characters Hyper and an extra action during a round.


When performing Adrenaline Rush, Tails moves up in front of his group and starts putting something together in his hands. He then deploys a temporal field to any target on his side of the battlefield.

In gameplay, when performing Adrenaline Rush, the player is able to give any of his/her characters in battle the Hyper status effect for a few rounds. The higher level the Adrenaline Rush is, the greater effect will the Hyper status effect have. Additionally, Adrenaline Rush also allows the chosen character to perform one additional action per round for as long as the granted Hyper status effect is in effect.

Quick time event

When performing Adrenaline Rush in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to execute Adrenaline Rush optimally:

  1. The player has to touch and stay inside the outer circle that appears when it overlaps the inner circle and follow it vertically across the middle of the screen, from the bottom and up.
  2. The player has to touch the inside of a circle on the middle of the screen when the outer circle overlaps the inner circle.
  3. The player has to touch and stay inside the outer circle that appears when it overlaps the inner circle and follow it in a small curve on the middle of the screen from right to left.

Missing or not touching these circles correctly will result in Tails failing to perform Adrenaline Rush.

  • If the player already has a combined maximum of 10 actions from his/her characters, the Andrenaline Rush will not grant the player's character an extra action per turn.
