The Air Dash is recurring technique in the Sonic Boom video games. When using this move, the user dashes through midair.
When performing this move, the users surround themselves in a blue aura and shoot themselves a short distance through midair at incredible speed.
In gameplay, the Air Dash is primarily used to destroy dash blocks (as it is the only move that can destroy them), but it can also be used to attack enemies and gain elevation to reach new areas. Additionally, the Air Dash can only be used twice when dashing to the sides and once when dashing up making for a total of three dashes. However, the move can only go directly up, down, left and right in gameplay.
