Angel Island is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs. It was the alternate version of Angel Island from Dark Mobius, where it fell under the rule of Dark Enerjak.

History

Angel Island's early history was most likely largely the same as its Mobius Prime counterpart's. The point of divergence was when Knuckles became corrupted by his chaos powers and decided to conquer Mobius.[1]

After forcibly uniting the Dark Legion and the rest of the echidnas, Knuckles set about bringing order to the world.[1] This led to the creation of his capital, Nekronopolis, which over time became a deserted, war-torn ruin as Enerjak's Prelates did battle with resistance forces such as the Dark Freedom Fighters.[2] The island was attacked at one point by Team Dark as part of a G.U.N. operation, but this effort was thwarted by Enerjak.[1] The island later served as the site of a final confrontation between Enerjak and his daughter Jani-Ca's team of allies, which included the Dark Freedom Fighters and Silver the Hedgehog.[3][2][4][5]
