The Naugus Trilogy: The Fellow Of The Rings..." - Part Three
Edit
The story begins when Sonic and Tails are shown the huge amount of power rings possessed by Nate Morgan. Nate explains how he created the rings from a "near-limitless power source". When Sonic tries to touch the rings Eddy stops him when Nate explains he will not let outsiders use their power. Sonic tries to convince Nate to return to Mobotropolis but he declines.
Ixis Naugus suddenly appears and he Sonic, and Tails absorb an unknown amount of power rings and transform into Ultra Sonic, Hyper Tails, and an unnamed super-form of Naugus. The three battle when Naugus ettempts to access the Zone of Silence to gain more power. Sonic and Tails' transformations end and fall unconscious leaving Naugus unchallenged. But Naugus first attacks Nate who retaliates by using his eyepiece defeating Naugus.
An avalanche begins as the heroes escape. Eddy holds up falling debris to allow the others escape, sacrificing his life. Sonic, Tails, and Nate are left in the cold.
And Then There Was One
Edit
In a peek at the earlier history of Mobius, three cloaked figures are seen attempting to use magic to unlock knowledge of the events that occurred before the Day of Fury, but are unsuccessful. The three reveal themselves to be members of the Order of Ixis, namely: Agunus, master of earth; Nusgau, master of air; and Suguna, master of water. Deciding to partner up to obtain mastery over fire, the one element known to be beyond them all, they begin a race across land, sea, and air to reach the sun. After proving traitorous to one another in their respective environments, all three are pulled into the sun together. Later, at the court of Frederick Acorn, the king is distubred as the sorceror Ixis Naugus bursts in and offers his services.
