The Asteron is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a starfish-based Badnik variant created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik.

Appearance

The robot has a basic design, consisting of a five-point star, each point tipped by powerful shooting arrows, as well as a central red eye.

History

The Asteron was one of the Badniks unleashed on the civilians of the Metropolis Zone just to remind them that Dr. Ivo Robotnik was in charge. Commander Brutus' troops also feature one Asteron as well. All of these Badniks were destroyed by Sonic, Amy and Johnny Lightfoot.

Trivia

• Before their appearance in the storyline, the Asteron was featured on one pin-up in Sonic the Comic #67.
