Auto Wall-Run is a Gear Part that appears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. It is an Extreme Gear component that allows automatic access to Wall Routes.

Description

Auto Wall-Run is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gears. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. Its icon is a blue-colored circle with a black silhouette of Sonic running along a black vertical wall.

Overview

In the game, Auto Wall-Run is permanently installed into only certain Extreme Gears. When in use, Auto Wall-Run lets the player access Wall Routes without using Gravity Control. Whenever approaching a jump with a Wall Route on a nearby wall, the playable character will disappear from the jump and then reappear on the nearby Wall Route while given a burst of speed. From there, the player can race down the Wall Route normally. Unlike when using Gravity Control to access Wall Routes, this ability does not use any of the player's accumulated Gravity Points. However, the player will not accumulate Gravity Points when accessing Wall Routes this way.

In gameplay, Auto Wall-Run and its ability will be disabled when starting a new race. To activate Auto Wall-Run, the player must press one of the following buttons after collecting a certain number of Rings:

PS2 Wii (remote) - sideways Wii (remote) - forward Wii (Nintendo GameCube Controller)
PSTriangleButton WiiDSA Up on Controlpadds Gamecube Y Button

When activating Auto Wall-Run, the player's Rings will be reduced accordingly by the number needed to enable it and the Extreme Gear is surrounded by an orange void, indicating that the Gear Part's ability is in effect. The following Extreme Gears come equipped with the Auto Wall-Run:

Name Activation requirements
Kunoichi 70 Rings
Shinobi 70 Rings
