The Axel Jump is one of Blaze the Cat's signature moves and is her version of the common Spin Jump attack. It first appeared in Sonic Rush and later in the sequel Sonic Rush Adventure. The Axel Jump turns Blaze into a burning tornado that can attack her opponents and is her primary attack method.

DescriptionEdit

When using the Axel Jump, Blaze jumps into the air and performs a horizontal spin upon her axis at high speeds into her opponent. During the spin, Blaze ignites a tornado of fire around her with her pyrokinesis and envelopes herself in the fire, thus increasing the move's attack power and turning herself into a mini-tornado of fire. Any enemy Blaze makes contact with during this jump takes damage and can sometimes cause her to bounce off them, if the the angle is correct. To perform this move in gameplay, the player must press the A or B button.
