The Badniks,[1][2] also known as the Badnik Army,[2] are a group that appears in the Sonic X comic series published by Archie Comics. They are a line of robots created by Dr. Eggman.

History[]

Archie Comics[]

Past[]

Back on his home world, Sonic the Hedgehog would come across a number of Badniks to amidst the death traps that Dr. Eggman sat up.[1]

No Thanks for the Memories![]

Some cruder, virtual Badniks were created as part of Dr. Eggman's plan to launch Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends to the moon using a virtual game world as bait. The Badniks acted as obstacles in the game, attacking Sonic and his friends at every chance they got. This was done in order to fool the heroes into thinking Eggman was trying to stop their progress, when in fact, this was benefiting his plan.[1][3]

Title Mismatch[]

Trivia[]

  • It seems that the E-Series robots seen throughout the anime are heavily based on the Badniks, as both are lines of mass-produced robots with a wide variety of designs and functionalities. This could suggest that like in the main continuity, the E-Series robots are an upgrade of the Badnik line.
