Ball Hog is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He was a pig-based Badnik and a member of Dr. Robotnik's Or Else Protection Service until his untimely end at Sonic the Hedgehog's hands.
Ball Hog is a mechanical humanoid, gray-colored pig about half a head taller than Sonic the Hedgehog. He has black eyes with almost slit-like pupils, two pointy ears, a short tail, and a peculiar mouth resembling an orange beak. He also has bolts around his eyes. For attire, he wears a light green suit, a white shirt with a red tie, and black and white shoes.
Stationed in Mobius Corners as a part of Dr. Robotnik's Or Else Protection Service, Ball Hog and his partner Roller would bully Mobians into paying them to not destroy their business, turning the town into a dangerous place. One day, the duo came to Bert's Diner and threatened Bert Whoo to pay them. Sonic the Hedgehog, who was at the diner, retaliated by making fools of them, provoking Ball Hog to use his bombs. However, the Badniks were distracted by Sonic and Bert, and got blown up by Ball Hog's own bomb.
Ball Hog was nasty, rotten and smart-mouthed, taking open delight in strong-arming the innocent, though he could be rather short-tempered. Like many of Robotnik's other badniks, he was also rather gullible, falling easily for Sonic's disguises. Like a real pig, he would sometimes grunt during a sentence.
Powers and abilities
- Ball Hog is modeled after the badnik with the same name from the Genesis and Game Gear video game Sonic the Hedgehog, both times appearing only in the Scrap Brain Zone.
