The Batbot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mass-produced, bat-based Badnik variant created by Dr. Eggman.
History
Several Batbots were used to excavate Crystal Cave to find the purple Chaos Emerald on the order of Clove the Pronghorn and Cassia the Pronghorn. The operation was soon put on hold due to the cave's terrain and the Batbots were left to guard the area.[1] After the world shattered, Sally Acorn, Miles "Tails" Prower and Antoine D'Coolette came by to find the emeralds for themselves. The Batbots' systems were shut down by Nicole the Holo-Lynx but they were able to overcome this in seventy-two minutes.[1][2] They then attacked the Freedom Fighters but most of them were destroyed, releasing the mobini trapped inside of them.[3]
Powers and abilities
Thanks to their design, the Batbots are capable of flight.
