History
Edit
It produces eggs for Robotnik's consumption, and is specifically designed to produce them inhumanely. Eggs roll down a chute behind the Battery Hen, where they are collected by Mantis badniks and brought to Robotnik. Eggs that are 'laid' by the Battery Hen are blue-grey and have mottled shells. Robotnik has these artificial eggs for breakfast every day. He even stores various sizes of egg in boxes all around his dining room.[1]
