Fill the GP and the attack begins! As a GP-friendly wheel, that's almost all the time!

— Description, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity[1]

The Big Bang (ビッグバン Bigguban?) is a Wheel type Extreme Gear that appears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. It grants its rider an Attack power-up by trading it for Gravity Points.

Description

According to its profile, the Big Bang is described as a GP-friendly gear. It can be purchased at the shop for 9,000 Rings.

The Big Bang closely resembles a Monowheel, with a white and purple driver interface and a black seat that has three exhaust ports on the rear. It also has a green ring field encircling the driver interface and the rider which serves as the wheel of the Big Bang.

Abilities and traits

As a Wheel type Extreme Gear, the Big Bang allows it rider to crash through obstacles and barricades without slowing down, gaining Gravity Points for each destroyed obstacle. Additionally, it allows the user to make Slide Turns to get through sharp corners. However, it cannot perform Gravity Control to the same extent as most other Extreme Gear.

The Big Bang has very poor statistics and possesses no Gear Parts, making it rather limited during a regular race. It can also only accumulate Gravity Points half as fast as the average Extreme Gear.

Every time when the player has accumulated 100 Gravity Points on the Big Bang, the accumulated GP is then reduced to 50, but the player will automatically enter Attack mode, where the player acts as if he/she has obtained Attack. This allows the player to temporarily get off the Big Bang and start running on foot while being able to attack opponents to deal damage and take shortcuts that can only be used on foot. After Attack mode wears off, the player will then return to riding on the Big Bang.

Trivia

  • The Big Bang is of two Extreme Gears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity that does not possess any Gear Parts, the other being the Money Crisis.
  • Setting the GP earning to 'low' in free race will prevent the Big Bang from earning GP when performing tricks, destroying obstacles, accessing Wall Routes or performing Meteor Bursts. It shares this trait with the Rainbow.
