- For the version of this location after the Super Genesis Wave, see Black Comet (Archie).
The Black Comet is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a celestial object and the mobile homeworld of the Black Arms led by Black Doom.[1]
History
Capable of traversing the galaxy, the Black Comet has been used by the Black Arms to attack and consume the populations of worlds they come across.[1]
The comet approached Mobius fifty years ago, and Black Doom contacted Professor Gerald Robotnik and aided him Project Shadow, with Black Doom planning to use Shadow the Hedgehog as an agent.[1] The comet departed soon thereafter, and while on its return trip to Mobius the Black Arms ran afoul of the Xorda, another alien race with its own claim on Mobius.[1] The two races began warring, with the Black Comet currently in orbit around the ravaged Argentium.[2][3]
- Note: From this point, the Black Comet's history continues from its new existence in the altered timeline.
Trivia
- The comics seem to indicate that the Black Arms are capable of steering the Black Comet to some degree, as the Black Comet did not simply return to Mobius fifty years after Shadow's creation as it seemed to do in the Shadow the Hedgehog.
