I disagree to ANY of this stuff being removed.
Being Snuffles and all, removing these means that the SNN members cannot communicate.
Communication is INPORTANT to keeping the wiki true to the source information.
Also, talk pages means that people can discuss rumors without using the main page to do so.
If chat was removed, the wiki basically becomes troll ground. for example, a perfectly good page (like our profiles) becomes littered with rumors, garbage info and completely irrelevant info. along with that, the original text might be removed.
See? I OPPOSE!
How would using Talk pages encourage Users to discuss rumors on said pages rather than the forums? And how would removal of the chat feature turn SNN into a "troll ground"?

Your reasoning makes no sense. Our profile pages were never meant for communication, let alone being used to spread "rumors, garbage info and 'completely irrelevant info'" (one can argue that virtually every single thing we choose to write about ourselves on our profiles is completely irrelevant info to the purpose of this Wiki, yet the option to use a special page to write about ourselves all across Wikia exists anyway. If no one wanted "completely irrelevant info" on Wikia no matter what, then why would User pages even exist in the first place?), and the risk of having content from User pages/Talk pages has always been present ever since Wikia itself was first founded, and by extension SNN. Having the chat feature does absolutely nothing to lower the risk of page content being vandalized -- in fact, I could argue that having a chat room only gives Trolls yet another target on SNN to attack, and would have the advantage of being a public forum with instantaneous communication between participants -- in other words, the chat would be counterproductive towards keeping order around the Wiki. But alas, as far as I'm concerned, it does very little harm towards the Wiki, or any of its members -- if there's problems on the chat, it is usually the Users' fault, not the chat room. The chat room may have rules, but there's absolutely no guarantee anyone would follow them -- and of course the same applies to the rest of SNN's policies. On a final note, even if unwanted information was placed on these pages by third parties, or said parties removed content from the pages entirely, what's stopping us from making a few clicks with our mouses and hitting the "undo" button on a page's history tab? That's usually all it takes to undo most of any damage done on here -- a few clicks. If anyone is caught damaging site content they can simply be banned and the pages can be reverted to their original state in 10 seconds flat. I don't see how this should be a serious issue when it happens (I say when because its an inevitability on a website like this, and I think most of everyone here understands that.)
Anyway, do you understand what I'm trying to tell you? Is there anything I said just now you need me to clarify on? Got any other concerns over the general topic at hand you want addressed?
Im just saying that I oppose. I personally think that you should be able to discuss rumors and ask about making possibly controversial changes with a whole group of people. The *troll ground* bit is basically that there will probably be some more bogus edits.
also, profile pages are a exception, for obvious reasons.
I have read your post, and I see your point.
Rumors are meant to be talked over, and in the end proven either true or false. if nobody can talk over rumors, how will you prevent them spiralling too high?

I would never come back if the chat was taken down. Plus, it's stupid that you want chat to be taken down.
And this wiki would be dead. No one likes a wiki with no chat.
also, this guy has a point.
EDIT:

After 3 years, he who giveth the chat, taketh it away (or so I hope). The chat for this trilogy of years has brought counter-productivity to it since it started. Edits are few and all people really want to do is chat. And what did that bring us? Drama. Bans, Demotions, and Unrest everywhere. I think it is best that we just remove it so this wiki can be A WIKI. I'm sure veterans will probably say "Oh but then the drama will just go back to blogs like before the chat." That might be true, but I think the wiki has outgrown that. We have somewhat better social interaction on forums while keeping things fresh and about Sonic. I want to hear all your thoughts on this issue. Thank you.
Limited chat usage, maybe? per 20 minutes worth of editing, you get 10 minutes chat until you get locked out until you can acclaim 10 more minutes of chat time.
