Hello users of SNN. I have created this forum to suggest an addition to admin/mod abilities.
One of our polices is "No Personal Attacks" (NPA). This policy has been put in place so SNN stays a civil cite where every user feels welcomed. As of late, we have done an excellent job of keeping personal attacks low and conflicts to a minimum. However, in the instance a personal attack is posted in user space, forums, or anywhere else that is not the chat, there is no part of our policy that states admins/mods can remove them (see Sonic News Network:Administrators#Deletion and undeletion). Admins/mods should have the right to remove these attacks to help the victim of the personal attack and to keep our community clean of defame comments. If the comment is being used as evidence for a ban/warning, it came be saved by taking a screenshot or the raw text being saved in a log. This would be the addition to the admin section 'Deletion and undeletion':
- Removing Personal Attacks. If it is being used as evidence, it should be saved with a screenshot or in a log.
This would apply to moderators, if a personal attack in on a forum/message wall.
