No. Like I said earlier, Runners wasn't targeted for American audiences because America is occupied with the 'Boom series.

You mean those two games everyone hates? Smart move Sega...

But they still intend to keep it that way after all the critism those games got.
Sonic Runners looks wonderfully fast-paced and enjoyable. Has the public been told when it's coming to the US?

Instead of being blinded by nostalgia, they should try to recreate something sort of like the most popular, best-selling, most remembered games in the series; Adventure 1 and 2.
How are Lost World and Shattered Crystal examples, even remotely, of "sticking to Sonic's roots"? Lost World is a platform-adventure game, focusing more on combatting droves of enemies than on using momentum to progress forward, and Shattered Crystal played like a Metroidvania game. Where did you get this information?
As for your point about the Adventure games, not only would emulating them be a form of "nostalgia-blindness", but it led to atrocities like Sonic '06 and Sonic Unleashed. The original games (especially SA1) were inherently flawed to begin with, partially because they strayed too far from the original Sonic formula. Your point about the Adventure games being the most-loved is also incorrect: the best-selling Sonic game by a landslide was Sonic 1, while the highest aggregate review score (from players, not critics) belongs to Sonic CD--and, in my opinion, rightfully so.

Would writing yet another angry letter to SEGA help?

I don't know, but I don't intend to write one either?
Well I guess that angry letter worked. I'm pretty sure you all heard about the national release.
