The Bungie Vine[1] is a gimmick that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an elastic vine that sends the user flying in one direction.

Description[]

The Bungie Vine is presented as a green plant vine with a large brown handle at the end which is stretched out between fasten end point for the vine and a wooden threshold holding the vine's handle in place.

Overview[]

In Sonic Adventure 2 and its enhanced port Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, the Bungie Vines are only found in Green Forest and White Jungle. In gameplay, they will retract when the player interacts with them, causing the playable character to be pulled with them and flung through the air in a straight line to another location. This enables the player to cross bottomless pits, takes shortcuts, reach otherwise unreachable areas, or just get down a path faster. To use the Bungie Vines in the gameplay, the playable character just has to touch them. By pressing and holding A/A Button GameCube v2 during the pull, the playable character will bungie farther and flip off for a better rating and more points.
