The CTV Television Network (commonly referred to as CTV) is a Canadian English language television network, owned by Bell Media, which is a subsidiary of BCE Inc. It is Canada's largest privately-owned network, and has consistently placed as Canada's top-rated network in total viewers.
The network's programming consists mainly of hit American series, but it has also had success with Canadian-made shows that now rarely airs at prime-time hours.
News programming consists of the nightly CTV National News, morning program Canada AM, local newscasts branded as CTV News, local morning newscasts in Western Canada, Ottawa and the Atlantic region branded as CTV Morning Live, and newsmagazines W5 and Question Period.
Sports programming consists of simulcasts of other networks. CTV's own sports programming are provided and produced by The Sports Network (TSN) since 2001. Prior, CTV produced programming under the "CTV Sports" banner, which the name is still being used for such purposes similar to ESPN on ABC.
