Captain John Paul Memo is a diminuitive submarine captain who wished to destroy the undersea kingdom of Mertopia so that he could build condominiums and extort money from the fish and Merhogs. He frequently asks his right-hand man, Lt. Bananas, to "take a memo", communicating almost entirely in them. He went to school with Doctor Robotnik,[1]although this doesn't necessarily means he trusts him, and was willing to fire upon him when the Doctor was tricked into thinking Memo had planned world Domination. Memo was last seen being carried off by a squid from the Kingdom of Mertopia along with Bananas.
