Casey Rankin was an American singer who did work for the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
History[]
Rankin wrote the lyrics and provided rap and background vocals for the songs "Sonic - You Can Do Anything" and "Cosmic Eternity - Believe in Yourself" for Sonic the Hedgehog CD. He was best known as the lead vocalist for Japanese rock band SHOGUN, which was the first Japanese-American collaboration of its kind, and was very popular in the '80s.
He eventually died on January 2, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.
