A Chao Garden, from Sonic the Hedgehog #263.

The Chao Garden is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are various areas inhabited by Chao, usually forested and including a small body of water.

History[]

Past[]

In ancient times one of earliest known Chao Gardens was located in at the Master Emerald's shrine and was protected by Chaos. Tikal, daughter of Chief Pachacamac of the Knuckles Clan, became friends with the Chao that they lived there until her clan attacked the Chao Garden shrine to take the Chaos Emeralds. With this horrific act, Chaos became enraged and killed most of the clan before Tikal sealed it and herself in the Master Emerald.[1]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Chao Gardens' original timeline ended.

During the Shattered World Crisis, the Freedom Fighters found out that the Eusebes Shrine had a Chao Garden with a Lake of Rings when they were with Razor the Shark.[2]
