Like its name implies, the Chaos Blast is a powerful explosion of red energy that deals extreme damage to opponents. When performing it, Shadow floats in the air and does the sign of the horns with both hands as he charges an aura of red energy. Once fully charged, Shadow releases his energy in a massive explosion.
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric
In Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Shadow will use the Chaos Blast during the third phase of the boss battle against him in the Abandoned Research Facility. When about to perform it, Shadow teleports to the center of the arena and says "Chaos Blast. " There, he charges up the attack for several seconds before releasing it. The Chaos Blast then creates an explosion that will cover most of the arena, except the outmost edges, and deal significant damage to the player.
Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom
In Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom, the Chaos Blast was originally designated as Shadow's Special Power, where it took the appearance of an energy projectile. In later updates to the game however, Shadow's Special Power became the Chaos Spear. Aside from that, Shadow also calls out the Chaos Blast's name whenever he initiates his Dash, although it has not been revealed what relation the Chaos Blast has to the Dash as neither move resembles the other.
- The Chaos Blast is based on the move of the same name from the Sonic the Hedgehog series which first debuted in Shadow the Hedgehog.
