Chaos Punishment
Talk0this wiki
Chaos Punishment (カオスパニッシュメント Kaosu Panisshumento?) is a Soul Surge technique and Chaos Power used by Sir Lancelot and Shadow the Hedgehog (Multiplayer only) in Sonic and the Black Knight. When using this technique, the user performs Chaos Control to warp up in front of an enemy and either delivera quick strike with a sword, launch a powerful kick, or accelerate to top speed.

Description
Edit
Chaos Punishment is very similar to Shadow's Chaos Snap. In order to perform it in gameplay, the user's Soul Gauge must contain enough Soul Energy to initiate the user's Soul Surge. To activate the move in gameplay, the player must press B, and to cancel the move while being used, the player must press B. If the user runs out of Soul Energy, however, the move will end.
Chaos Punishment can be executed in three ways; either to attack enemies, launch a kick to bump enemies or to advance quicker through the stages (Sir Lancelot only).
Attack
Edit
If Chaos Punishment is performed as a means of offense, the user will then shout "Chaos Punishment" and then use Chaos Control to teleport up in front of the nearest enemy. Once in front of the opponent, the user targets the opponent with before delivering a quick slash with the their sword that instantly kills any lesser enemies, couners attack or deals massive damage to tougher enemies. Once the enemy has been struck, the user will then use Chaos Control again to teleport to the next target and the cycle continues. This move can be used both when the user is in midair or when standing on the ground. Curiously, when the user attacks the opponent, time appears to have stopped.

Added by Ultrasonic9000When Sir Lancelot has the Ddraig Goch equipped, he gains the Skill Knight of Chaos, which allows him to use Chaos Blast when he strikes his opponents, allowing him to hit several enemies at once within a certain area.
Kick
Edit
If Chaos Punishment is performed as a mean of launching a kick at opponents, Lancelot will use Chaos Control to teleport up in front of the nearest enemy. Lancelot will then bring a downward kick down on top of the opponent while in midair, which can leave the opponent momentarily stunned.
When performing this variation of Chaos Punishment in gameplay, Lancelot will automatically target any enemy in front of him with a red reticle. To strike the enemy, the players have to swing the Nunchuck remote. This attack is the only way to remove Will 'o Wisps. However, it deals very little damage to enemies.
Speed Boost
Edit
When Chaos Punishment is used to give Lancelot an increase in speed, Lancelot will briefly charge up the move, with small rings of energy emitting from his feet. He will then accelerate to beyond his top speed in a split-second with a high-speed dash, akin to Speed Break from the Sonic and the Secret Rings, which will "teleport" him through the level. This allows Lancelot to get through the stages quicker and pass through most obtacles before they can react to his presense.
When performing this variation of the Chaos Punishment in gameplay, there has to be no enemies in front of Lancelot. To initiate the speed boost, the players have to swing the Wii Remote, and Lancelot will take off at extreme speeds. While moving at these speeds, however, the players' controls becomes slightly more difficult. Also, if Lancelot encounters an enemy while using Chaos Punishment as a speed boost, he will automatically, switch to the attack variant of it.
