Chun-Nan is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an ancient town nested between tall mountains, fed by numerous waterfalls, and a part of the United Federation. It also hosts the Gaia Phoenix, one of the few powerful spirits still in the world.
Seeking the Gaia Key from Chun-Nan's Gaia Key Guardian, a fraction of the Freedom Fighters traveled to the village where they met up with the Shijin Warriors, who would help them with their mission after they had caught up with each other. Upon arriving in the village however, they learned Zonshen was at the Gaia Temple, close to the Egg Clan Army's base.
