Climbable Walls[1] are a gimmick that appears in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. They are a type of walls that indicate where the player can use Climbing.

Description

The Climbable Walls are vertical walls covered entirely in deep red and rough-edged crystals.

Overview

The Climbable Walls' purpose is to provide ways for Knuckles to traverse the environments in the game's levels using his specific character abilities. In gameplay, they indicate the areas on the vertical walls that the player can utilize Knuckles' Climbing to scale them. To use the Climbable Walls in gameplay, the player just has to jump onto them.

Climbable Walls do not necessarily provide safe passages. Some of them have their path block by breakable obstacles and others have spiked balls attached to them, which the player must navigate through carefully in order to avoid taking damage on contact.
