The Cluckbird, also called the Cluck,[1] is an enemy that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball. It is a Badnik model, presumably created by Dr. Robotnik.
Overview
The Cluckbirds are a frequently encountered enemy in the game, appearing in Toxic Caves (Toxic Pools in 8-bit version of the game), Lava Powerhouse and The Machine. In the steam arena of Lava Powerhouse, they respawn endlessly from hatches on the walls, and in the battle with the Veg-O Machine, Cluckbirds will pop out from below the Veg-O Machine.
Cluckbirds usually fly around in the middle of pinball arena, attempting to get in Sonic's way. By shooting Sonic as a curling ball with the Flippers into a Cluckbirds will destroy it and release the animal inside of it. In 8-bit version of the game, destroying one Cluckbird will reward the player with 40,000 points. While hitting a Cluckbird can be tricky, occasionally landing on the Cluckbirds can provide a upward boost that can help the player get to his/hers desired destination.
Description
Physical Appearance
The Cluckbird mostly resembles chickens. They have a white round torso with a smaller round white head on top of it, and possess a thin blue neck with a pointy collar around it. They have long red serrated beaks and a red comb on their head, and two eyes with black scalar and red pupils. On the sides of their torsos they have stubby wings with blue primaries, on the rear they have stubby tails, and below their torsos they have thick stubby thighs with red feet.
Powers and abilities
The Cluckbird are capable of flight by utilizing the wings on their sides.
