Dinosaur Commander

The Commander of the dinosaurs in spacesuits, from Sonic the Comic #142. Black and white art by Bob Corona, colour by Nigel Dobbyn.

The Commander is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a blue alien dinosaur with two spine ridges down the back of his neck.

The Commander was responsible for leading expeditions through the Ring of Eternity to barren alien worlds, where they would create the Spark of Evolution and produce early life forms. He had done this many times, and considered it routine. In particular, he felt that his less experienced Professor was too uptight about it, saying "Move in, do the job, move out, that's my motto!"

One of the planets the Commander visited, many millions of years ago, was Mobius. There he met Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary, who had arrived through the Ring of Eternity from the distant future. Although the girls initially assumed his team were invading aliens, they soon learned the truth. The Commander explained their mission and how they created life. When Amy expressed disappointment that there wasn't a different creator of life as she'd always thought, the Commander told her "I never told you who we work for, did I?"[1]
