Shadow using Conduit Gel, from Sonic Universe #59.

The Conduit Gel is a substance that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an alien breed of fungus cultivated by the Black Arms.

Description

Conduit Gel is described as oozing gunk that the Black Arms use for quick transport by absorbing themselves into it and moving through it like in veins to another location. Apparently, only members of the Black Arms' race or those biologically related to the species can use it. Its actual name is unknown, though Shadow could best translate it to "Conduit Gel".[1]

History

During the Black Arms' first invasion of Sonic's World, some of it was brought to Prison Island.[1]

When Team Dark, the Spider Troupe and a Giga Trooper invaded the New Black Comet to destroy it, they hit a dead-end with some Conduit Gel. Despite Rouge's protest, Shadow utilized the Conduit Gel to scout ahead, only to end in a room filled with Black Arm soldiers.[1]
