Cosmic Zone is the sixth Zone in Sonic Jump and its sequel Sonic Jump 2. The Zone consists of three Acts followed by a boss fight against Dr. Eggman at the end of the third Act.

Description[]

Story[]

In a forest in South America, Eggman is shocked to see that Sonic has found out where he was. However, Sonic is too late as Eggman is already on the rocket that launches into space. Sonic tries to figure out what to do next and asks Tails if he could find a way to launch him into outer space. Tails says he could by messing with some of the controls and Sonic is ready to go. Knuckles is willing to hold off the enemies while Sonic goes after Eggman.

Gameplay[]

If the player reaches the goal with at least fifty Rings, they will receive a fragment of the white Chaos Emerald.

Overview[]

Boss[]

Cosmic Zone boss

The boss of this Zone involves Dr. Eggman inside of a mech that wields two chains with spiked balls on them. These chains spin at different directions at different times making hitting Eggman a tad more difficult. These spiked ball chains also have great range forcing Sonic to strike from a distance when it is safe. During this battle, there are six platforms: four of them that are blue and are on the corners on the screen and two red ones near the center. The two red ones disappear after Sonic has touched them but reappear after a few seconds. Making use of the red platforms would allow Sonic to hit Eggman easier but must be quick before he falls down the pit. Three hits are all that's needed to defeat this boss.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of the two Zones from the earlier Sonic Jump titles not to make an appearance in the 2012 remake of Sonic Jump or Sonic Jump Fever, the other being Bonus Zone.
    • However, in both games, there are hidden music tracks in the games' files hinting Cosmic Zone.
