The Crane Brain Drainer is an object that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is a machine created by Doctor Ivo Robotnik that could copy ninja skills and beliefs from Kwai Chang Crane and then apply them to his Badniks, thus becoming what he calls "robo-ninjas".
Operation[]
Crane must wear the helmet which copies his traits then sends them through the wires into the nearby booths. Fortunately, the Crane Brain Drainer doesn't actually drain knowledge, but copies it somehow. It seems to work with at least booths at a time, six at the most, possibly more. Whichever robots that are in the booths at the time the machine is activated will break out of the booth now having the abilities possessed by Crane. The machine is controlled by a near by panel which has a number of button and switches. The effects of becoming a robo-ninja are only temporary and they naturally wear off in due time.
History[]
Impressed by Crane's ninja skills, Robotnik captured him and built the Crane Brain Drainer so Scratch and Grounder could become Ninjas and defeat Sonic. They failed the first time, so Robotnik used the machine again to give them not only Crane's ninja skill, but also his ninja philosophy. Scratch and Grounder became much more powerful. Robotnik later used the machine one more time to create six more robo-ninjas which all look the same except for different numbers on their chests. After the robo-ninjas were defeated by Sonic, Tails and Grasshopper, Dr. Robotnik's fortress was destroyed and the Crane Brain Drainer was destroyed with it.[1]
