Crystalline Magic, also called "Crystalline Magicks" is a type of sorcery in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. Invented by Mammoth Mogul shortly before the formation of the Order of Ixis, it is the ability to manipulate and control the power of crystals.
Crystalline Magic is the ability to harness crystal and manipulate opposing forces or obstacles. Once Crystalline Magic is used against a force, the force is covered in crystal, as seen when Ixis Naugus used the sorcery against Titan Metal Sonic and (on accident) Bunnie D'Coolette. The fact that the affected Bunnie could not be reverted back to her normal state after dealing with Naugus' magical blast (unless by Naugus using his magic to revert her back) is proof that the sorcery easily traps the opponent infinitely. It's also worth mentioning that Crystalline Magic is able to wash away robotics, as seen with Bunnie and during an invasion of New Mobotropolis.
However, Crystalline Magic can only be used upon the power of a Chaos Emerald. While not directly stated, the only time the power of Crystalline Magic was used was when either Mammoth Mogul or Ixis Naugus possessed a Chaos Emerald.
Crystalline Magic was invented by Mammoth Mogul after he obtained the power of a Chaos Emerald. While manipulating the elements, he was able to control the sorcery of the crystals, and used it to his advantage, building the Order of Ixis and teaching his followers the magic.
Thousands of years later, in the year 3237, Mammoth Mogul broke out of his enslavement from inside a Chaos Emerald and began to cause war with the Kingdom of Acorn and Ixis Naugus with the children of Uma Arachnis. Mogul used the Crystalline Magic against Naugus, trapping him with the crystal energy. However, this was just to "toy with [Naugus]" according to Merlin Prower.
Eventually, Geoffrey St. John would receive the purple Chaos Emerald which brought Naugus back to his sanity. Roughly more than three weeks after Naugus was brought back to normal, he and Geoffrey invaded New Mobotropolis to reclaim the crown, only for the Freedom Fighters to stand in their way. Naugus used his Crystalline Magic ability several times while invading the city to wipe out Nicole's nanites and stop Sonic the Hedgehog and Elias Acorn.
Shortly after Operation: Clean Sweep failed, Dr. Eggman sent in Titan Metal Sonic to destroy Mobotropolis. Wanting to save "his city", Naugus attacked the robot, with Bunnie D'Coolette providing assistance. In an attempt to destroy the robot, Naugus used Crystalline Magic on the robot, crystallizing it, with Bunnie caught in the crossfire. Luckily, Naugus accidentally restored Bunnie back to normal, albeit with none of her robotics back into place, as the crystal magic seemingly washed it away. Naugus would use the Crystalline Magic once more during an invasion on New Mobotropolis against Egg SWATs, providing minimal help for Team Freedom before succumbing to the three entities that created him.
After finding a secret ritual chamber underneath New Mobotropolis (specifically inside The Pit), Naugus was spied on by half of the Secret Freedom Fighters (Elias, Leeta, and Lyco), and the wizard caught them in the act. He used the Crystalline Magic to trap them inside the chamber, but the three heroes escaped. Naugus would later use his Crystalline Magic to create a cup to hold the bones of Ixis Vale to create his spell to mind control the citizens of New Mobotropolis into a new Order of Ixis. Naugus would use the Crystalline Magic once more when the entire Secret Freedom Fighters team infiltrated and stopped Naugus' plan on a new Order of Ixis.
