The Cyborg Freedom Fighters are an alternate version of the Knothole Freedom Fighters from the same Mobius that Robo-Robotnik, aka Doctor Eggman, originated from.
History
Edit
Robotnik attempted to defeat them by subjecting them to partial Roboticization, but the Cyborg Freedom Fighters turned it to their advantage by launching an all out assault against him. This led Robotnik to Roboticize himself, after which he decimated the group, leaving their leader, Cyborg Sonic, as the only known survivor. Cyborg Sonic subsequently fled to Mobius Prime to seek help from Sonic the Hedgehog. (StH: #19)
