The Dark Eyes[1] are a group that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a division of the Dark Presence in the altered Light Mobius timeline, formerly under Lien-Da's leadership.

History[]

25 Years Later (altered)[]

In the altered reality created by Sonic's time alteration using the Tachyon Displacement Chamber, the Dark Eyes were enlisted under King Shadow, as his spy network, while the main enforcement was carried out by Enforcer Knuckles and the main security forces at his disposal. During one of their missions, Dark Eyes managed to spy on Lara-Su, and discovering her plan to dethrone King Shadow, reported the information directly to him.[1]

Five Years Later[]

The Dark Eyes continued to serve the now-in-hiding Dark Presence, and were the first to inform Lien-Da about the lack of guards on certain levels of Castle Mobius. Two Dark Eyes later reported the capture of Tails and Mina, and of Castle' Mobius' successful invasion by the Dark Hands to Lien-da, with several Dark Eyes soon being deployed to guard the castle. During the Future Freedom Fighters' attempt to retake Castle Mobius, several more Dark Eyes attempted to stop them, but due to not being suited for physical combat, were defeated. Following Lien-da's "death" by King Shadow, and the release of Perfect Tikhaos, the Dark Eyes and the rest of the Dark Presence fled the castle, renounced their allegiance to King Shadow, and assisted the Freedom Fighters with their evacuation efforts.[2][3][4][5]
