The Dark Finish (ダークフィニッシュ Dākufinisshu?)[1] is one of the Dark Chao Walker's special attacks in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. When performing this technique, the Dark Chao Walker fires a super-charged laser.

The Dark Chao initiating the Dark Finish.

When performing the Dark Finish, the Dark Chao does its pose for special attacks. The Dark Chao Walker then fires a thick, super-charged laser from the front end of it.[1] This laser is mostly blue and white with a few yellow circles inside it, and is surrounded by blue circles.

In gameplay, the Dark Finish is the Dark Chao Walker's most powerful attack. This laser can be maneuvered to a certain degree and can deal a significant amount of damage to the opponent. However, it also leaves the Dark Chao Walker rooted while firing it, leaving it vulnerable to attack should the player miss.

The Dark Finish can only be performed by the player by playing as the Dark Chao Walker in the game's two-player mode. To use it, the player must press DreamcastB/SNNBGAMECUBEDISCO/Gamecube X Button after collecting sixty Rings. To use it again, the player has to collect another sixty Rings.

Trivia[]

  • Though the attack is supposed to be more powerful than the Zap Laser, the Dark Finish is thinner than the Zap Laser.
  • In certain versions of the game, the laser is colored black and blue.
