David Humphrey (born 7 June 1973 in Westminster, Colorado, U.S.) was a voice actor for the Sonic the Hedgehog series who provided the first English voice for Shadow the Hedgehog. David is also a bass singer in an a cappella sextet, known as "Vybration".
Humphrey was cast to play Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001, by his Forever Plaid colleague and friend Ryan Drummond who was the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog at the time. He would voice Shadow for the next few years in the Sonic games, from Sonic Adventure 2 to Sonic Battle. Jason Griffith was the next actor in line to perform Shadow, as well as some other characters.
