David Humphrey is an American voice actor, as well as a bass singer in an a cappella sextet known as Vybration. In the Sonic the Hedgehog series, Humphrey provided the first English voice for Shadow the Hedgehog.

Filmography

Humphrey was cast to play Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001, by his Forever Plaid colleague and friend Ryan Drummond who was the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog at the time. He would voice Shadow for the next few years in the Sonic games, from Sonic Adventure 2 to Sega Superstars. Jason Griffith was the next actor in line to perform Shadow, as well as some other characters.

Reception

Many fans say that the tone of David Humphrey's voice fit Shadow the Hedgehog's appearance and personality, including his British accent. Many Sonic fans were very grateful with his performance as Shadow.
