A Doomsday Pod is an object that appears in Sonic SatAM and in the Archie Sonic comics.

The Doomsday Pods were nearly indestructible as it took a special lightning field or the "special" balloons Rotor created to destroy them. These pods destroyed anything in their paths and were able to be created in mass numbers thanks to Dr. Robotnik's Doomsday Project.

Waste Pod

This object exists primarily or exclusively within the Archie Comics continuity. Information in this article may not be canonical to the storyline of the games or any other Sonic continuity.

The Waste Pod was a machine created by Dr. Robotnik to wipe out the Wolf Pack. Though difficult to defeat, it was brought down by the combined efforts of the Wolf Pack with help from Sonic the Hedgehog, Sally Acorn and Antoine D'Coolette of the Knothole Freedom Fighters. (StH: #113)

Trivia

• The Waste Pod is adapted from the Doomsday project featured in the Sonic the Hedgehog animated series. The plot used for the Waste Pod's one appearance was that of the episode "Cry of the Wolf".
