The Dragon Ring is a crystal-like blue-green ring depicting a scaly ouroboros.
In gameplay, Dragon Rings are found in the game's adventure levels and Fissure Tunnels where they can be obtained by opening item capsules resembling golden bubbles with a Dragon Ring inside them. These capsules break when touched and can be targeted with the Homing Attack.
Upon opening its capsule, eight Dragon Rings will scatter along the path ahead. Each Dragon Ring is connected to the nearest one by an intangible line, making them easy to locate. If the player collects all Dragon Rings within the time limit, they are given an award based on the level: ten Ragnium shards in adventure levels and ten Rings in Fissure Tunnels. The number of Dragon Rings the player has collected is depicted on the bottom of the screen. Take too long however, and the Dragon Rings will flicker before disappearing.
- The Ouroboros design for the Dragon Rind is an ancient symbol that depicts a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. It is used to represent the infinite cycle of nature's endless creation and destruction, life and death.
