E-38 Octoron (E - 38 (オクトロン) E - 38 (Okutoron)?) is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. It was an octopus-based E-Series robot that was used by Dr. Eggman for his operations at Emerald Coast, but was destroyed by Sonic the Hedgehog.

E-38 Octoron hurt from a stray coconut.
Octoron was first seen when Amy Rose angrily throws a coconut into the ocean. It then hits Octoron's head, causing a bump. Later, it invaded the Emerald Coast resort along with Eggman and engaged a fight with Sonic the Hedgehog. When Sonic tried to attack it, Octoron snatched Sonic with one of its tentacles and submerge him in the water before pulling the hedgehog out. It tried to submerge Sonic underwater again, but this time, Sonic attempted to run away. Amy then severed one of its tentacles, causing it to fall into the sea. With the help of a Ring, Sonic pierced through Octoron's dome and smashed its insides, destroying it for good.[2]
