- This article is about the robot. You may be looking for the status effect, Lucky (effect), in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
E-77 Lucky is a ridiculous-looking E-Series robot, created by Doctor Eggman to find the seventh Chaos Emerald in Season 1 of Sonic X. His main body is a large gold bell with two visible purple eyes and the number "7" painted on in red, and he is covered in good luck charms, including four-leafed clovers and rabbits' feet. He stands 100 cm (3' 3") and weighs 100 kg (220.5 lbs).
Lucky was created because Eggman believed that with a little more luck, he could obtain all seven Chaos Emeralds. At first, Lucky seems to have bad luck, and he is constantly falling down and getting into trouble. But later he is revealed to have good luck when he finds the seventh Chaos Emerald. Outside of that, he is shown to be able to survive situations that destroyed other robots out of sheer luck. Unfortunately for Eggman, Lucky wasn't very obedient, and actually helped Sonic the Hedgehog. After the first season, Lucky isn't seen again for a while, until the Emerald Tournament, where for a few rounds he remains on a good luck streak and continues to win by default, but finally loses against Emerl in the first semi-final match when he uses up his energy supply taunting Emerl during their fight. Lucky placed Top 4 in the competition along with Rouge the Bat, who loses to Knuckles the Echidna in the second semi-final match. Effectively, Lucky was lucky enough to never have to fight Emerl. Lucky's only form of communication is through beeping, similar to R2-D2 from Star Wars.
