Chaos Emerald Saga[]

Having acquired six of the seven Chaos Emeralds, and taken Christopher Thorndyke as his hostage, Doctor Eggman attempted to retrieve the seventh Chaos Emerald from his robot, E-77 Lucky.[1] In the meantime, both Sonic and GUN's Beetle robots tried to stop Eggman.[2]

Eggsterminator kicks Sonic

Whilst harnessing the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds, the Eggsterminator attacks Sonic, from "Countdown to Chaos".

Determined to get the last Chaos Emerald, Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe transformed the Egg Fort II into the E-99 Eggsterminator. Harnessing the power of the six Chaos Emeralds in his possession, the Eggsterminator battled Sonic, demonstrating incredible strength, speed and perception. It slammed Sonic into the side of a building and turned the incoming Beetles into piles of scrap. The sheer power of his creation even began to intimidate Dr. Eggman as the Eggsterminator began to act of its own accord, glowing bright orange and pummeling Sonic mercilessly into the ground. Dr. Eggman ordered the robot to stop and throw Sonic away, only for it to drop the hedgehog and kick him into the ocean. Chris Thorndyke then broke free of his restraints and grabbed the six Chaos Emeralds powering the Eggsterminator. As Knuckles boarded the control room of the Eggsterminator and distracted Dr. Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe, Rouge snuck inside and rescued the exhausted Chris and the Chaos Emeralds. Chris then began to stir mid-flight and broke free of Rouge's grasp. Chris and the Chaos Emeralds proceeded to fall into the ocean, only for Rouge to grab Chris. Moments later, the Eggsterminator snatched Chris and Rouge out of the air, clenching them in its fist. The Eggsterminator, now fully out of control thanks to Chris removing the Chaos Emeralds and Knuckles damaging the controls, began to crush Chris and Rouge, only for Sonic to use the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds in the ocean to transform into Super Sonic and destroy the Eggsterminator and trigger Chaos Control, bringing the Mystic Ruins and Angel Island to Earth.[2]

Trivia[]

  • The rename from Egg Emperor to "Eggsterminator" in the English dub may have been an intentional effort to distinguish it from the Egg Emperor of Sonic Heroes, or simply a convenient benefit of an arbitrary rename by the English scriptwriters.
