The E-Rider (E-ライダー E-raidā?) is a recurring Bike type Extreme Gear in the Sonic Riders series. It is Doctor Eggman's character Extreme Gear, and his default Extreme Gear. It is, however, not until Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and onwards, that it becomes exclusive to him, meaning only he can use it.

The E-Rider first appeared in Sonic Riders. According to its profile, it has high performance, but it burn too much Air. It is unlocked in the game, alongside Eggman, by completing the Babylon Story in Story Mode.
In Sonic Riders, the E-Rider resembles a red real-life sports bike. It has white highlights stretching across the midsection and the rear, and has black wheels with white wheel covers.
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the E-Rider is more powerful, but less maneuverable and less fuel efficient than most other types of Extreme Gears. In fact, it stands out as one of the more powerful gears in the game. Its major, and only detractor, however, is the fact that it burns an exorbitant amount ofAair at a rate of around double of that of a regular default Extreme Gear. Unlike most other character Extreme Gear in the game, the E-Rider can be used by other characters than Dr. Eggman.

Sonic Riders: Zero GravityEdit

The E-Rider reappeared later in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, where it could only be used by Dr. Eggman. According to its profile, the E-Rider had been built by Eggman in this game, with every detail of it reflecting the doctor's tastes. It is unlocked in the game, alongside Eggman, by completing the Babylon Story in Story Mode.
In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity the E-Rider is given a new design, resembling more that of a cruiser motorcycle, with large exhaust pipes on each sides of the rear. It is mostly colored red, with a black area on the front, and thin yellow highlights running down its sides.
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the E-Rider is more powerful, but less maneuverable than most other types of Extreme Gears, and allows its rider to crash through obstacles and barricades without slowing down. Like other character exclusive Extreme Gears in the game, the E-Rider does not possess any unique abilities. However, it possesses Gear Parts that can increase its top speed and the amount of Gravity Points (GP) it can store

The E-Rider made another reappearance in Sonic Free Riders. According to its profile, Eggman made and customized the E-Rider himself, and, just like in the previous title, reflects Eggman's tastes in its design. It is unlocked in the game, alongside Eggman, by completing the World Grand Prix campaign.
In Sonic Free Riders, the E-Rider's design bears a close resemblance to its original design in Sonic Riders, thus once again resembling a sports bike, though it is instead mostly colored red with yellow highlights
As a Bike type Extreme Gear in Sonic Free Riders, the E-Rider is, like in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, more powerful, but less maneuverable than most other types of Extreme Gears. Also, like in the previous title, the E-Rider possesses no unique abilities of its own, but it can be equipped with one Gear Part.

- In the scene in Sonic Riders when Sonic chases Eggman back in Babylon Garden, the doctor is seen riding the E-Rider, but it is unknown where he put the Key to Babylon Garden and Amy while he was riding the E-Rider to the palace.
