Easter Island is a location that appears in Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is an island on Earth which is famous for its hundreds of statues that resemble human heads.

History

When Mobius' environment was collapsing, Sonic, Amy, Shortfuse and Tekno traveled to Easter Island through the Ring of Eternity, believing the cause for Mobius' problems could be found there. Upon arriving through, the local statues (which consisted of millions of Microbots) attacked them.[1]

While Sonic and Shortfuse fought the self-repairing statues, Amy and Tekno located an alien computer underground that was diverting energy from Earth to one of Mobius' New Zones and controlling the statues. As Amy resorted to destroying the machine when Tekno failed to shut it down, the statues fell apart. Now that Earth was safe, the heroes returned to Mobius through the Ring of Eternity.[1]
