The Egg Fleet is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a massive, aerial assault force consisting of dozens of vessels, all based off sea creatures. It was built to be the primary attack force of the Eggman Empire.
History
The Egg Fleet was built using the considerable resources of the Eggman Empire. They were subsequently seized by Neo Metal Sonic while the robot impersonated the doctor and had taken control of the empire for a time. Several vessels took part in the construction of Casino Park, which Neo intended to serve as a trap for Sonic the Hedgehog and as a headquarters for Breezie the Hedgehog. However, his plans with the fleet were thwarted by the efforts of multiple heroic teams.[1][2]
After Dr. Eggman witnessed Black Doom's destruction of Westopolis, the doctor realized that there would be nothing left for him to create his Eggman Empire on if the Black Arms continued. As such, he called the Egg Fleet into action, determined to put a stop to this.[3]
Trivia
