The Eggmobile is the boss of the Spring Yard Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog. It is piloted by Doctor Eggman and equipped with a large retractable spike on its underside.
Battle
Edit
The boss battle takes place on a walkway made of ten destructible blocks. Eggman uses the Eggmobile to quickly descend on Sonic, intending to impale him on the spike. If Sonic avoids this attack, the spike will instead lift up and shatter the block that he was once standing on. The holes thus created spell instant death for Sonic, should he fall through them.
Eggman can be struck when he descends to impale Sonic or, with proper timing, when his Eggmobile wavers in the air. Eight hits are required to destroy his machine and win the boss fight.
