Everyone 10+ (E10+)

Teen (T)

Trivia

  • So far, not a single Sonic game has been rated above Teen.
    • However, no Sonic game that does not include any other character outside of the Sonic franchise has ever been rated Teen.
  • The K-A rating was replaced with the E rating in 1998.
  • The PSN version of Sonic the Hedgehog was rated E10+ until 2013.
  • Originally, due to the dark nature in the game, Shadow the Hedgehog was originally going to have an advantage to be rated T, with seen concepts of red blood, violent scenes, more instances of cursing. It was changed during development to an E10+ after it was created and for a more fitting title. This caused changes in development and the final release.
