When normal flowers draw up dark energy through the soil, they transform into this berserk hybrid. They spew pure evil at passersby, but are rooted firmly in place, making the immobile.
The Evil Flowers mostly resemble a dandelion with a single flower. They have cyan and true blue leaves and flower stalks with carnation pink spots, and carnation pink florets.
Powers and abilities
The Evil Flowers possess limited energy projection, allowing them to fire pink energy balls made of pure evil from the center of their flower.[1] However, they have limited movements as they are rooted to the ground, meaning they cannot move from the spot they are.
Overview
The creation of the Evil Flowers and the rest of Dark Gaia's Minions occurred when Dark Gaia broke apart in the beginning of Sonic Unleashed due to its premature awakening by Dr. Eggman. These fragments were then spread across the Earth and became Dark Gaia's Minions. The Evil Flowers themselves were created from flowers that had been mutated by drawing up Dark Gaia's evil energies through the soil.[1] They first appear in Savannah Citadel Night Act 1.
The Evil Flowers are not very strong, as they can be taken out with a few hits. They are also rooted to the spot where they are, meaning they cannot avoid the player's attacks. They act mostly as sentry drones and always appear in groups.
The Evil Flowers' only means of attacking the player are by shooting energy balls whenever Sonic get close enough to them. However, these shots are slow and can only travel in straight lines, and are therefore easy to avoid or guard against.
Upon the reconstruction of Dark Gaia by Dr. Eggman, all of the Evil Flowers along with the other Dark Gaia minions were returned to the beast, who was later defeated and sealed within the planet's core.
Trivia
Since the Evil Flower is deemed immobile, it leaves the question of how the Evil Flowers could travel to Eggmanland in order to rejoin Dark Gaia.
