Dark Mobius - Tower's Folley[1][sic] is a short story set in the pre-Super Genesis Wave Archie Sonic the Hedgehog canon, which was written by Ian Flynn and published on the Archie Sonic blog on May 19, 2011.
The story is presented as a report sent from Abraham Tower to the President of the United Federation in the Dark Mobius timeline, and serves as both a prequel to the Sonic Universe "Silver Saga" arc which ran from Sonic Universe #25 to #28, and as a companion to the other Dark Mobius blog stories.

- TO: The President of the United Federation
- FROM: Commander Abraham Tower, Chief Executive of the Guardian Units of the Nations.
- Operation: Night Fire
- Objective: Pre-emptive strike against the perceived threat of the individual known as "Enerjak." Aggressive moves by Enerjak and his forces, the Dark Legion, are likely to threaten the sovereignty of the United Federation's city-states within the next two years. The operation was to:
- 1 - Remove the threat of Enerjak
- 2 - Disrupt the Dark Legion's ability to wage war
- 3 - Slow attempts by the Dark Legion to recover from its losses
- Forces Present:
- G.U.N. Navy (all available ships, aircraft and crew)
- G.U.N. Air Force (flying flagship G.U.N.A.F. Gilgamesh, 30 Osprey-class long range bombers, 150 Hawk-class fighter jets)
- Team Dark (all seven members present)
- Operation Synopsis:
- 0500 Hours - G.U.N.N. rendezvous within firing range of Angel Island.
- 0530 Hours - G.U.N.A.F. begins assault on Angel Island's surface. Team Dark is inserted and moves to the Hidden Palace Zone to secure the Master Emerald.
- 0545 Hours - Enerjak arrives and begins his counter-assault. Delay is attributed to intelligence that he was bases in Soumerca at the time of the attack.
- 0550 Hours - Entirety of G.U.N.A.F. forces are destroyed.
- 0555 Hours - Entirety of G.U.N.N. forces are destroyed.
- 0600 Hours - Team Dark reports all resistance in Hidden Palace Zone has been neutralized.
- 0615 Hours - Team Dark reports Master Emerald secured. Report is immediately followed-up with reports they have engaged Enerjak. This is the last communication with Team Dark.
- Assessment: A third of our military is lost. Our premier special operations unit is lost. Aggressive behavior is expected to increase. It is with great shame I must report this was an unmitigated disaster.
- At this juncture I recommend a political approach wherein the United Federation publicly brands the attack as unsanctioned and to paint me as a rogue agent. I will take the role of the scapegoat and, hopefully, bear the brunt of Enerjak's retaliation rather than the rest of the nation.

Other features[]
Unlike other blog stories which include unaltered (save for some dialogue and portions being erased) images reused from the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs, this story contains two images from Sonic the Hedgehog #183, both of which are edited to make Enerjak resemble Dark Enerjak. Additional details in the panel are also changed, such as the drops of sweat on Knuckles' face being removed.
The edited panels are meant to depict Dark Enerjak decimating the United Federation (while the original unedited panels depicted Enerjak laying waste to New Megaopolis), and as such Enerjak's dialogue in the second panel is changed to reflect this:
- "Such a pity. I actually enjoyed Station Square. Ah well."
